Razer Eidolon April Fools Joke

Razer (A computer gaming peripherals company) went above and beyond on April 1[sup]st[/sup] to pull the best joke on it's market. They released a video demonstrating a new product know as the Eidolon:



I was pretty impressed with the amount of effort that went into this and I must admit I was pretty convinced until it got to the part about the in eye video lenses! Also the specs Razer provided for the Eidolon on their website (Which seems to have been removed between me starting to write this post and coming to put the link in!) really do give up the game on this hoax. Just to give you an idea, Razer stated it would have a 4 hour battery life during use, a maximum operating altitude of 4,000ft and a 12 megapixel 3D camera that can record at 60 frames per second!

Even though Razer have since revealed it was all a big joke for April Fools, they were hinting that there may be a feasibility study going on to produce their own little quadcopter! Obviously the in eye video lenses are somewhat impossible and the wrist mounted control system (As awesome and futuristic as it may look) may prove difficult to produce, but the quadcopter itself might happen!
