Just happened across this, one of the coolest looking things of its type I've ever seen. Wasn't sure if it belonged in the multirotor section or the rc plane section, but decided it looks more plane than anything.

    Specifications:
    Wingspan - 60" (1524 mm)
    Length - 37.4" (950 mm)
    Weight - 6-7.5 lbs (2.72-3.16 kg)

Price: $499 (About 320 quid at the moment)

I like that it has an undercarriage, means you could put a little gorpo gimbal underneath. It has a fixed spot in the belly for a gopro as it is, but I bet you could adapt it to put a gimbal there instead. I wonder how difficult it is to hover-land, looks pretty easy?

Very nice, something different, some good flight times to be had when in forward motion, all down to it's gliding capabilities .

Certainly looks like a very interesting concept, would love to get my hands on one. In all honesty though I was really waiting for this sort of concept to take off (pun intended)... The only real concern I would have with this is the rotors at the back during forward flight, they're just sitting there creating drag, but it does look like the FireFly can fly decently so I guess it's not a problem!

I love the clever use of dual flight controllers, so I can switch from a Naza for hovering to a fixed wing auto pilot for rapid forward flight. Other thing is it won't just crash straight down even if the hover fails.
