Artist's rendition of what the proposed school is supposed to look like: They still have a long way to go! Word is, this project was supposed to be completed in the next three months. -It's not going to be. At the moment they are unable to acquire bricks for the exterior of the building! The project was supposed to be $30,000,000.00 They're up to $54,000,000.00 and are STILL short on materials and time!
Most of my paid work is on construction sites. I don't think I ever saw a project that completed on time.
Flying around my Hometown. Doesn't look like it, but it was windy! Real windy. Check out the flags in front of the school around 00:50 in the video.
The "lean" you see is because the gimbal has hit it's limit due to the Inspire rolling so much to stay 'in position' !
A 'latest video' for those of you who might want to see what this amazing part of the planet looks like! Enjoy!
Looks like I'll be in the UK in mid-2018, but sadly, nowhere near York. I'll hit both Edinburgh and Dover. A bit too far north AND south of you....
You have to go past York to get to Edinburgh. In fact, if you're going on the train it stops at York on the way.
Yes, on the Brilliance of the Seas departing from: Amsterdam, Holland and going to: Edinburgh, Scotland Iverness (Loch Ness), Scotland Greenock (Glasgow), Scotland Dublin, Ireland Holyhead, Wales Cork, Ireland St. Peter Port, Channel Islands Dover, England and back to Amsterdam!
That sounds cool, have you been to any of those places before? That's the same route the remains of the Spanish Armada took after they got defeated by England. They couldn't go back the same way they came and had to sail all the way around the top of Scotland and past Ireland, where a few more were sank on the rocks!
Once again, thanks for the history lesson! I've been to Amsterdam many moons ago, and I mean MANY! I have not been to the beautiful Islands of Northern Europe. Anything you can recommend for this 'Murican to not miss?
I've been been to Amsterdam a few times too, but last time was long ago also, like 20 years ago. You boat journey sounds brilliant to be honest, I'm sure you see some wonderful places!
