    Hi there, just found your group so I thought I'd better say hello!

    I'm Ian, I live in Knaresborough (though I am York born and breed...) and I fly helis and quadcopters.  It all started back in the late 80's with a MFA Sport 500 (remember them?) that I bought from Dave Smith Models in York, never did get the blummin' thing to fly properly, but needless to say I'm amazed by how technology has evolved!

    Very much into aerial video on a budget (cheaper and better, the watchwords or a true Yorkshireman!) and I think one day I might actualy get the hang of it...

    Hi there, thanks for joining. It's a bit quiet at the moment but I'm sure it will get a busier as Winter goes away and dies horribly in a dark corner. :)

    We'll have to meet up and do some flying together sometime.

    Sounds like a good idea, would definatly like to meet up with local flyers.

    Would also like to learn bit about propper fpv set ups and see how complicated it all really all is...

    Hi Yorkshire Astronaut, I'm new here too, flying quads. Started with Blade mQX with a spycam velcro'd on, now graduated to a Phantom with a GoPro on a gymbal. Now getting decent video and experimenting with a video transmitter and a small screen, for close range stuff.

    I'm in north Leeds, always looking to find someone like-minded nearby
