Haven't got my drone yet (or had commercial training, yet, for that matter!), so please forgive what may be a silly question. But I've been wondering about this:
When filming something with a drone, where sound is also to be recorded and used in the final video, how does one get rid of the "buzz" sound of the rotors?

We're actually experimenting with that now. Is it not easy. The simplest way is to record the sound separately. Say if you want to record the sound of something getting out of a car, do the drone shot first, then do the same action again without the drone to get the sound. You can do a certain amount of noise reduction in Adobe Premiere, but it is not really possible to remove the drone sound altogether. Will let you know how our experiments go though, should be done in the next week.

It's still a work in progress. We had a go at hanging a mic from a drone with a sort of dish between the drone and the mic, but you could still hear the drone very loudly. We still have a couple of ideas to try though. :)
