Determined not to let the Winter get me down last year, I dabbled a little bit with flying in the dark. It was mainly just flying my Ideafly quadcopter with a bright light on the front though. This year I want to make a concerted effort to fly a plane in the dark and get some night footage. I've had a nice set of LED lights, with red, green, white and strobe, for months now and haven't got around to trying them. Now the night are getting a little darker I'm going to give them a try, either on an Easy Star II or and RVJet, if I get it to fly (haven't tried yet).

What I'd really like is an FPV camera that records and also let you see pretty well in the dark. Usually the most obvious choice of FPV camera that records, i.e. a video camera with a live out, would be a Gopro or similar, but I don't think it sees in the dark very well.

I wonder if anyone has tried the Boscam FPV camera and what it's like in the dark? Or if there's another camera with a low lux number that records in HD?

I'm not that sure about the use of a Boscam FPV camera, I heard that my friend had some strange results. :)
