Guess I'll get the introductions going! Hey everyone I'm Holyforehead or Ryan, I'm an RC rookie but a massive aviation enthusiast! I would love to get fixed wing RC planes but unfortunately due to the area I live in and a lack of personal transport I can't really get any, however I do own an IFLY-4 quadcopter and I'm having great fun learning to fly it! I tried to make some scratchbuilt camera mounts for it but they didn't really work so I'm saving a few pennies to buy the IdeaFly camera mount designed for the IFLY-4. Anyway that's all you really need to know about me, if you have any questions feel free to ask! ;D
The kit was complete and just needed to be set-up through the software to fly. All I had to provide was the transmitter, receiver and battery
The flight feels smooth and I'm comfortable with it... Can't compare it to anything though as it's the first I've flown! Seems to yaw left ever so slowly which I can't seem to fix. Might need to replace the props as all the ones that came installed have small notches on the tips. I'd replaced one anyway because it broke and the spares I bought weren't damaged at all! I haven't got any videos of flying but I did make 2 earlier in the summer (one of an unboxing and the other a quick look at the software). I did try to make a camera mount a week ago or so, but completely forgot vibration dampening and the footage was unusable (It was just a short hovering test in my back garden) but the centre of gravity was severely off with the camera installed so I ended up chucking it, looks like I will be forking out £70 for the IdeaFly mount after all!
