I got this little quadcopter a few days ago but only just got around to unwrapping it. I already have the original Hubsan quadcopter, which I do like, so I was interested to see how this one compared and how the video camera worked. As you can see in the video, the box is pretty much identical, however the quadcopter is slightly bulkier because of the camera. I have to say though that it does seem even better built than the first one. It feels strong and robust. It has rubber feet to land on now that cover some of the wires that were exposed before. It looks as cute as ever, maybe even a little cooler because of the camera. The on board footage is low res, but still pretty good nonetheless for what it is. I love the buzzy, insect-like sound these little quadcopters make and the put me in min of the little drones on Agents of SHIELD. Flying it puts a smile on my face, which is all I ask really for this level of machine. Anyway, please watch the video and see what you think.
Wow I knew it was small, but I didn't realise it was quite that small! Couple of quick questions if you don't mind Jonathan: - What sort of flight times do you get on the battery? - Is the throttle a spring shut style or free moving?
The throttle is free moving, stays where you leave it - just how I like it. If it did have a spring I'd take it out. I haven't flown it full time, but I guess about 5 minutes or so. Charges up pretty quick though, maybe 15 minutes or so?
Ah well thank goodness the throttle is free, I don't think I'd trust myself opening up the transmitter and taking things out!
