Just noticed DJI have dropped 50 quid or so from their Phantom quadcopters, now £348 ready to fly. I've never had one myself but pretty tempted now. I guess because they're going to release the new Phantom Vision soon. See: http://www.amazon.co.uk/DJI-Phantom-Aerial-Drone-Quadcopter/dp/B00CP4MBQK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1378813836&sr=8-1&keywords=dji+phantom or http://quadcopters.co.uk/dji-phantom-ready-to-fly-quadcopter-570-p.asp 4 quid more but 4 weeks quicker.
Hi Jonathan, I've just joined the forum and spotted this post. I've experimented with several platforms since we started with the Gaui 330 and for my needs the Phantom is unbeatable. The new Vision will attract buyers wanting to get into aerial video, but I'm not sure the results are going to be as good as the original fitted with a gimbal and GoPro Paul
Hi Paul, thanks for joining. I'm not too sure about the Vision myself either, especially the 5.8ghz control system instead of 2.4. Still, I'll wait and see how it goes - maybe they'll upgrade the Visions camera so it's on a brushless gimbal at some point.
