A report showing the BBC's first use of a hexacopter. Strictly speaking, the BBC has published loads of productions that use hexacopters, I've done some of them myself. I guess they mean it's the first time the BBC has directly owned and flown their own hexacopter? It's a DJI S800 with Wookong M flight controller buy the way. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-24709180
I saw this earlier and I've got to say, this can only be good news for the RC community! When the general public see even news reporters are using this technology, they may be more likely to accept the technology. We as hobby pilots of these devices have to abide by the same rules the BBC have to, so perhaps the general public won't get so anxious when they hear the person down the road has bought themselves a 'drone'!
