Some Dude Crashed his Phantom 4 into.... The Ocean!

    Some dumb[CENSORED] managed to smuggle his Phantom 4 onboard the MSC Divina Cruise Ship and then....



    Crash it into the Ocean! -On purpose!

    He 'claims' it was due to the ships radar, but more than likely, he didn't calculate that the ship is moving at 20 knots and forgot to factor in wind. The P4 just couldn't keep up, RTH would not work, as the ship is moving.... Also, he's on a 139,400 Gross Registered Ton METAL vessel, more than likely the compass got messed up from all that metal.

    The end result.... SPLASH!

    Might have been able to bring it back flying full manual in sports mode, but probably wouldn’t know how to do that.

    Even IF it were due to the radar, which I doubt, he COULD have flown ahead of the ship, then landed as it passed below.

    I wonder if this Phantom 4 will ever wash up somewhere?

    Condolence to his phantom 4 it will never be seen again it will be in the ocean forever. By the way did he use a tracking device? so that there will be a chance to retrieve it.

    Doubt it. This guy didn't seem smart enough to do that...

    Feel sorry for the P4 though!
