This is truly amasing and I am almost sold on this. Have been using the DJI Phantom 3 and was to be the DJI Inspire pro next, but I now ask myself is it worth another $3500aud and the answer is seemingly a resounding no for me. As good as the Inspire is, what does it have to make one pay so much more.

The Intel crash avoidance and being a Hex for me sets the two way apart. Love to hear of any first hand experiences positive or negative.

Only trouble with Typhoon H so far is no one has one to try. Also the camera is pretty much the same as the Q500 4K, only it spins all the way around. Still, they may release a better camera for it in future? The true intel obstacle avoidance is something you have to pay extra for, so you should bear that in mind.
The Inspire is more powerful, can fly in high winds better than Yuneecs and Phantoms, which is useful if you're using it professionally, where you don't always get to choose the best weather day.
The old idea of a hex being safer because of redundancy, being able to land with a motor out, is kind of misleading in a way. For one, having more motors, two more, means you increase the chances of having a motor failure in the first place, simply by having more motors. Also, not sure it's the case with the Inspire, but quads can now land with a motor failure by spinning fast to stay upright while you land it, which is pretty much what a hex does anyway.
Not saying the H won't be a great drone, just saying don't buy into that old hexas are safer line.

Thanks Jonathan....and now the legal battle begins.

The Intel realsense is what has my attention and I will be following this case in the US with interest. IMO a win for DJI is a loss for the industry unless it is proven Yuneec indeed did copy a patent.

    I think it's more publicity-postering than a battle.

Yes you may be right Jonathan. I was interested to see the senior Yuneec engineer was previously with dji

They pretty much all know each other I think, working in the same district of the same city, often in the same building. DJI, Yuneec and various drone parts manufacturers and chip makers etc.

Speaking of chip makers I am searching for a trackable microchip. My vision is micro sim card size. So far searching the web for off the shelf not much luck.

Never heard of anything like that, so small. Obviously there are trackers that use sim cards.

My daughter is a Veterinary Surgeon and at first she suggested animal micro chips. However they are only scanned they don't transmit a signal for tracking. Right idea and size is perfect but need to be able to track. My little secret drone project, if I find it then it could mean early retirement. If I can't find some off the shelf item or get some Korean or Chinese guru to create one, then my last resort is to approach intel. That may end up backfiring on me though as they are now in bed with Drone manufacturers and I may find my idea commercialised without me.

My imagination is running wild now since I started in drones, simply so many uses and applications, and a load of fun.

No Idea Agnes, I decided to stick with all DJI for now. As much as this UAV looks great with good features, I decided for now DJI fits my purposes.

Not sorry at all I purchsed the P4 instead of the Typhoon H.
